Tom Sturgis, President and CEO

Tom has spent the last fifteen years working exclusively in pharmaceutical marketing and patient recruitment in clinical trials. He has managed all operational activities including:

Ken Wallace, President, Clinical Trial Marketing Communications, Vice President of Operations, Integrated Clinical Trial Services

Ken Wallace has spent the past 20 years planning, developing and executing marketing programs to support patient recruitment and retention for clinical trials. He holds executive positions in both Clinical Trial Marketing Communications (CTMC), which he founded in 2004 and Integrated Clinical Trial Services (ICTS, through a joint venture). Previously he served in many capacities at a patient recruitment company, Clinical Solutions, most recently as President and Chief Operating Officer.

At CTMC and ICTS, Mr. Wallace is responsible for developing and managing integrated patient recruitment and retention programs for pharmaceutical sponsors, contract research organizations, and site management organizations. In addition, he is responsible for managing day-to-day operations for CTMC,including overseeing the teams assigned to each project.

Mr. Wallace has developed and managed US and Ex-US patient recruitment programs for a variety of therapeutic categories including neurology, cardiology, oncology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, women’s health, endocrinology, among others. He has directed national and local media relations programs, managed the development and placement of targeted advertising, implemented direct-to-patient and direct-to-physician programs, plans and executes online marketing plans, and established relationships with key associations and organizations.

Mr. Wallace is an industry innovator who frequently writes and speaks about myriad topics relating to patient recruitment and patient retention.

Gregg Sweet, Vice President, Strategy and Development

Gregg joined ICTS as one of its founding partners after having successfully operated his own firm since 1995, Clinical Communications Group, a patient recruitment company. He is responsible for the development of ICTS products and client strategy, working with sponsors to develop and implement integrated tactics to increase the efficiency of clinical trial investigator meetings, patient recruitment, enrollment conversion, retention and post-marketing programs.

Gregg has successfully planned and executed over 150 patient recruitment programs including international, full-scale centralized recruitment programs involving over 20,000 subjects. He works closely with sponsors to identify processes that can decrease cost and increase operational efficiency by providing a flexible, zero-base planning method focused entirely on the specific requirements of the protocol.

Council of Medical Advisors

ICTS has nurtured and developed close relationships with several highly qualified clinical professionals.  We call upon these experts for project assistance when their particular expertise can provide invaluable help to our clients.  A complete understanding of the most intricate details of the study processes and demand high quality patients to ensure high quality data is essential.  To that end we have formed a Council of Medical Advisors to enhance the quality of ICTS work and to provide our clients with access to some of the industry's top professionals in the global research community.

Each of the members of the ICTS council has vast experience in clinical research and serves to augment our services by either leading a specialized project such as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) program, providing medical content for communication pieces or advising on clinical challenges and operations.

Darron R. Brown, MD

Darron Brown received his M.D., Internal Medicine training, and Infectious Diseases sub-specialty training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Rochester, NY, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.  He is currently Professor of Medicine, Microbiology, and Immunology at the Indiana University School of Medicine.  He is an attending physician at the Indiana University Hospital, Wishard Memorial Hospital, and the Roudebush Veterans Administration Hospital. 

Dr. Brown received the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Young Investigator Award in Virology from the Infectious Diseases Society of America in 1991, the Tony and Mary Hulman Health Achievement Award in Public Health, Indiana Public Health Foundation, 2006, and the Clinical Trial Exceptional Service Award for Development of the Quadrivalent Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine (Gardasil) from the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America in 2009.

Beginning in 1985, his laboratory has focused on the mechanisms of transmission of HPV infection, HPV-related oncogenesis, and prevention of HPV-related disease through development of vaccines.  He has performed extensive pre-clinical studies of vaccines and has conducted eleven human vaccine trials at all stages of development.  Dr. Brown has published approximately 100 research articles and book chapters on human papillomaviruses and vaccines.  He serves as a consultant to industry related to HPV and development of novel vaccines.

Eugene Selivra, M.D. is Chief Executive Officer of Global Clinical Trials, LLC a premium Russian and Eastern European CRO, and Global Medical Institutes, LLC a United States SMO with  specialization in neuroscience research.  Dr. Selivra is responsible for day-to-day operations, corporate financial oversight and strategic development of both companies.

He has over 18 years of clinical research experience having managed organizations in Arkansas, Florida and New York.  Prior to joining Global Medical Institutes, Dr. Selivra established and directed Winthrop-South Nassau University Health System Clinical Trials Network on Long Island.  Dr. Selivra is well recognized expert in patient recruitment for CNS research projects both in the United States and in Eastern Europe.
